The Impact:

  • January 29, 2024 the CT Scanner was installed at North Hastings Hospital. By February 1, 2024, Doctors had made a life saving diagnosis as a result of this equipment.

  • Since January 29, 2024 many patient transfers have been avoided. This means that Physicians and ER nurses did not need to travel to Belleville and instead were able to carry on with providing care at North Hastings Hospital.

  • Since the CT Scanner arrived, many patients have been transferred to the correct medical facility for care, rather than a stop at Belleville General Hospital for a CT Scan.

  • Patients now have access 24/7 to the CT Scans. North Hastings Hospital’s Radiology team is on call during the night and is able to perform both CT Scanning and X-Ray.

  • The CT area is comfortable for patients and staff. It is bright and spacious.
